Smaller carbon footprint

Combine nested loop storage with solar panels (a new installation or an existing one).

Lower your energy bills & improve energy for everyone

Decentralised energy is critical to solving global energy insecurity, energy poverty, and climate change. We started nested loop to accelerate the introduction of renewable and decentralised solutions into our energy infrastructure.

By using nested loop storage, you’re not just lowering your own energy bills. You’re also making energy fairer, cheaper, and greener for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

Don’t see your question answered here? Reach out to us at hello@nestedloopenergy.com and one of our friendly team will get in touch.

  • Yes! nested loop storage works with most existing solar panel installations. During the consultation process, we’ll ensure all your systems will work together. If you want to find out if your solar panel installation will work with nested loop storage, email us at hello@nestedloopenergy.com

  • Yes! In fact, most people choose to get nested loop storage installed alongside solar panels. We work with a range of trusted and certified solar installers across the UK, who install both solar panels and nested loop storage.

  • nested loop storage is connected to your grid connection and solar panels (if you have them). Then, the system charges the battery from grid and solar at optimal times (according to your energy set-up, like if you have a time-of-use tariff). Then, at optimal times (for example, if you’re experiencing an outage or it’s an on-peak time), nested loop storage releases that energy into your household loads.

  • Yes! You can use nested loop storage to store cheaper off-peak energy and use that stored energy at peak times (when grid energy is typically double the cost of the off-peak rate).

  • Yes. You can use nested loop storage without solar panels. You might choose to do this if you have a time-of-use tariff (e.g. Economy 7), because you can save off-peak energy to use at peak-times. You might also choose to do this to combat energy security if you live in an area with frequent blackouts. nested loop storage can store grid energy, then automatically power your house with stored energy in the event of a blackout.

  • This depends on multiple factors, like if you have a solar panel array, the size of your solar panel array, if you are on a time-of-use or standard grid tariff, and the profile of your household loads (i.e. how much energy you use and when). However, the typical household can expect to save up to £800 per year with a nested loop storage system.

  • No, nested loop storage is an all-in-one system. It’s one wall or floor -mounted unit, that includes everything you need to store, optimise, and discharge energy. That includes a battery, hybrid inverter, and control board.

  • nested loop storage costs £5,750, but you can get £250 off by signing our letter of intent.

  • nested loop storage costs £5,750 (but you can get £250 off by signing our letter of intent.

The cost of your solar installation will vary depending on your region, the size of your solar panel array, and the complexity of your installation. However, you can typically expect to pay around £6,000 for a 4kWh solar installation.

  • nested loop storage will be available for purchase and installation in March 2024. We have a large waiting list, so we’re prioritising people who have signed our letter of intent.
